The Bush-Tucker Man Has Squatted On A Deserted Property Up North
Oh yes Les Hiddens, he'd been to Vietnam when he was twenty and then was the Bush-Tucker Man and now has squatted on a deserted property up north and invited all these vets to come and live a life again, and they love it, said that the war changed people, and to get them all together again was good medicine... I thought well it's a Hermits Union really up there all those people that society has changed... A Fiddle Tuner, So Good
I got a fiddle tuner, so good, should have got one ages ago, only $38 so now I can tune up when it's quiet anyway... Makes such a difference, so now I see what all that tuning during the concerts amounts to, you just turn on your tuner, scratch a string and make fine tuning adjustments, and then it's just so much more perfect...

So we repacked the car in Canberra a bit and took off for Uranquinty, the Olympic through Wagga was where we got lost slightly... And found it over the railway crossing in the oval, small and compact and one venues tent from the Merry Muse, found a spot on the oval fence was good with the sun, and all we were just down from Eric and Alison and next door to Russ and Gail... There were those mobile homes around and some big set ups like Phil's... Just a few mobile toilets, so it was a much smaller scale...

Home To The Bushfires Again
I got home to the bushfires again, houses gone already a few rivers away... Seems the fires were accidental, grinding the water mains, but when the wind whips them up it's a blow-torch scenario, and nothing realty stops them cept perhaps a wet house, so a sprinkler system over the roofs and walls has been the way to go, there's all sorts of fireproof materials being part of standards, but exposed anything will burn with that radiant heat and metal melts, the real way to do it is the cave hermit method, dig in and put earth on top and just have the front outlook which you can drop a corrugated iron verandah over, that would work, but those wedding cake houses are what people want...
