Based on tricky dicky ploys meant for the perceived gullibility of people not considered as smartarse as themselves, maybe, just maybe, the whole thing is a big bluff and they expect to crow about it when some significant back down comes about, but the tactic of overpowering threat to collapse a state regime has worked say with USSR and Starwars once before, so they would say, but this time if the bluffing by Bush has been so non-blinking that the North Koreans have bought in to have a look... The North Koreans have reinvigorated their belligerence hugely, today they locked on their radar to a USA Spy plane, and their uranium enrichment is under way again, what a suicidal ploy it's all becoming...
Meanwhile back home on the farm, the free trade agreement with the USA is going over like a lead balloon, and now the horrible true nature of those on the other side has come to the fore with the killing off of MediBank again, it's so despicable of that mob to gouge away at HealthCare... They want to be as horrible to the sick as the Yanks are...
Waiting on the edge, seems the USA Empire war preparations and deployment are already causing rethinks and fractures and outrage, where the Coalition of the Willing is being coerced and sucked in, it all makes the UN processes of dealing internationally by far the best alternative to gung ho imbecilic Presidents going off half cocked, particularly with North Korea postulating and daring the Giant... But the inevitable knock on effects into a murky hate filled future is the real scare, it's our future, we are all supposed to be in it...
The real cause of it all I reckon is the Systems conflict, the clash of cultural systems, where the West has embraced and hugged too tightly the dog eat dog competitive capitalism, as against the Moslem world held back in antiquity by non-democratic religious hierarchies, the frictions are inevitable, by mixing the two there's fire and brimstone, Capitalism has to take a step back towards mixed socially responsible societies and the Islamic worlds have to move towards the same middle point as well... The Holy Market is not the Invisible Hand of a god, it's a slap in the face for the vast majorities...
I can remember feeling the days of torture had ended, civilised societies did not scream out for inflicting pain and suffering for politics, and the death penalty was barbaric, but the Barbarians are back lately with the media blithely turning a blind eye to that Cuba Cage, and then capturing another of the Jihad Groups Leaders brought out the techniques to be employed on getting him to talk, so-called low level torture where being held alone, drugged, cramped and suspended and bathed in bright light and deafening sound went virtually uncommented when it's the West doing it, as against the list of barbarity the West accuses others of, and then they threaten to turn over the torture victims to other regimes where more severe torture remains de rigeur... Once upon a time Australia would not have a bar of that, but with the Little Tormenting Twit PM it's all back, and they say he can pick the public mood, just shows how Australians have gone dumb downed backward...
Freedom, for freedom the Yanks are pillorying someone cause she turned her back on the flag, I reckon that the huge conceit that the religious types hold to themselves also makes this insult to them so big time, like they take it as a personal insult to their conceit, and then lash out, that's the religious knee jerk at work... And to think it was once your right to free speech that was the thing to have, now they trample all over freedom with their nasty minds... This is when they bring out all their morals laws and justify it with godliness and create all the law and order problems, no, you can't say that...
The Little Executioner has just given the grinning ok to the killings of Osama Bin Saddam, how disgraceful and gross it is to have an Australian being so low, particularly the PM, in the name of that old decent Australia we once used to be... Even though he is one of the killing xtian types, typical... The rule of law is precious, the most priceless ticket we have to get the world through the waves of political systems and religious belligerence, and the Bush Cowboy Posses riding roughshod over the Rule of Law is dangerously stupid and gung ho, although I think gung ho means all in, like mob rule...
This Little PM also just shrugged off an Aussie being whipped 300 times, 50 each fortnight, saying they are entitled to their barbarous laws, and then blithely takes it on board to OK the death penalty on Iraqis... Both the Australian and English PM's ought to be fired for bringing the world to this brink of disaster...
And the So-Called Liberal Party are the ones who want to make a crime of flag burning protests, I'd like to see millions of peaceniks burn millions of little flags in protest, the kids did it on the streets the other day to protest the war, some schools had special delegations go with a teacher and some just went wild with exuberance running through the streets of Sydney, all against this dreadful So-Called Liberal Party government in Australia... That flag with the rotten Union Jack on the corner is the Colonial domination flag, the same one which produced the Middle Eastern wars and a base cause of all the world's problems in post colonial times...
So many Australians died futile deaths under that flag, in colonial wars, always against terrorists who just happened to live in the countries we attacked, the only time Aussies died for Australia was in World War II when the Japs were targeting us, and even then the Union Jack stood for someone else's war, not ours, and Australian soldiers had to be dragged away from European wars to defend us, and that Union Jack represented the people who abandoned us, so good riddance to it... Anyone got a light?
In the last war the Aussies were sent in to save the xtians from the Moslems in East Timor, and lo and behold, in the aftermath, while the Timorese who sought asylum in Australia are being sent back, unwanted, the Oil Fields are now being contracted between Australia and Timor, amazing how the Timor Gap Oil Fields have hit the headlines due to the belligerence of the Foreign Minister putting the basic facts down on the Timor PM, like we'll share our oil with you on our terms or else, the Greens had the courage, Bob Brown is gathering a following calling it Blackmail... What will this decade be called the Bloody Minded, Belligerent, Bellicose, Bombastic, Boofhead, Bomb em Boys, Blackmail Bush Years...
Just imagine what it would be like to have the Blackmail by Bush put on to Australia, say the Bush People started ordering Australians around like they do with Iraq? Where do you go? Try the UN, it's the only hope...
Oh god, here he is on TV, George Dubbya-Dubbya-III sibilance-ing his way through another Preach to the World... These preaches he makes always have me thinking how much you can take as him speaking about himself, every time he starts doing the mad dictator ignoring the rule of law, it all comes back right on his own head, weird, not worth taking him seriously anymore, he's so much the turkey now, how can anyone ever take him seriously, the idiot son... Oh whoops, the TV broadcast is getting the chop, cause it’s just another head banger...
Another ordinary day, nothing happened cept North Korea launched another missile, the world opinion was slashing the drums of war, the Lucas Heights Reactor said the cheap welding wouldn't matter when there was a catastrophic accident, the Jensen Archbishops of the Anglicans came out in full intolerant glory saying that all those other religions were rubbish, and reckoned the media would crucify him, not a bad idea... The Death Penalty Reward on Osama hasn't been collected, yet, he always reminds me of Jesus Christ when he's wandering around on donkeys with a turban, headed in the same direction all over again... I thanked Jack Mundey for saving the Rocks... The death of the Public Servant was written about by David Marr where only a Naval Officer would tell the truth about the Tampa political ploy... But really we're waiting for the War On Iraq, seems so few want to do it...
I wonder how much the World can say, not much, but if we were all unionised and took a vote for boycotting the warmongers, I bet things would change real quick...
Revelation dawned again last night on ABC's Four Corners when the fog of war was blown away somewhat, they did a story on the power behind the throne of the Bush reign, and it was just weird, these people on a world domination dream, the Neo-Conservatives, they introduced policies that were unthinkable just a few years ago like nation building? Supposedly to eradicate the Muslim leaning dictatorships and to bring in a domino effect with the regime change in Iraq to be followed by all the other Arab World countries on the list to follow, they made pre-emption the way to go, to invade and take over and impose an unchosen government with West leanings? They would use their full complement of Weapons of Mass Destruction themselves, to remain the one and only Superpower? They removed the strategies that have provided peace largely since the cold war, they reckon they have the opportunity to take over the world now and be the one and only superpower and that Sept 11 gave them the chance to make the grab... And the United Nations would be irrelevant, like why should we listen to them?
So for Australia it seems that the Little Neo-Conservative PM has found himself sitting in rooms full of these nutters behind Bush, and felt at home at last, and I get the feeling they have something on the Little Kids Overboard Ploy, cause there is suspicion about that drowning of the Sieve X? And how East Timor was stage managed so weirdly, how the troops went in after the heavies had come down on that weak little president Indonesia had at the time, so the US Neo-Empire regime has our Little PM in their debt, and they could undo him in a some political manoeuvring like blackmail...
The media is largely woeful in analysing the real moves behind the scene and go about with their fawning patriotic claptrap for the Presidency, while behind the scenes the real stories are being glossed over, this is a really momentous time in the history of the world, when a group in the only Superpower radically alter the border lines of proper behaviour, tear up decades of conventions and start strutting about with arrogance dressed up in religious precociousness, gees he's a worry that Bush, and behind him is Wolfowitz? Perle? Rumsfeld, that Condoleeza Rice and a whole swag of powerful names that signed up for world domination, this is really scary...
Finally the fractures are coming, we've had a security analyst hero come out of the closet and speak the dangerous consequences of attacking the Moslem world and Iraq, saying the Saddam thinking, under attack, would be to unleash these hidden weapons, WMDs, and the proliferation would be far more likely, thing is, this patriotic bloke, Andrew Wilkie, has been shot as the messenger, all the conspiracy theorists have come out of the woodwork to blast him and personally denigrate him, it's the typical intolerant running down of decent people by the xtian hawks... He said he did it to stop the So-Called Liberal Party from being part of the war... The Coercion of the UnWilling...
And I saw these discussion following on from Andrew Wilkie's defection, the voice of reason, where the containment policy was pushed forward as working, like when all these hidden weapons stay hidden they don't get used, it's a cat and mouse game with an idiot dictator posturing, all they have to do is beef up the Inspection Regime and make an example of the pointlessness of using them, MAD worked too, the mutual annihilation has a straight jacket quality... And sooner or later the mad dictator is overthrown, just be patient and don't make more trouble... Matter of fact, setting a good example to the world as a well behaved prosperous country is a better weapon in the long run... It is better to be envied than be hated...
Another one to break ranks was the ex-So Called Liberal leader John Hewson, the mad doctor of voodoo economic rationalism, and since doing merchant banking in Asia, and he came out firing against the Little Belligerent Neo-Conservative PM, saying the whole Australian foreign policy was dopey and was not where Australia should be in regard to it's Moslem Asian neighbours, Hewson ended up saying the Government members should have the guts to speak up, revolt, and stop the madness...
And then Hewson's nemesis, Labor ex-PM Paul Keating, said how the more irrelevant Australia was to South East Asia by having Islamaphobia, the more irrelevant we would be to the USA Empire's interests in Asia anyway, and there's never any guarantee of assistance in these new perils...
Having the most populous Moslem neighbour in the world, Indonesia, watching us from just up North, has meant a delegation of Aussie Government Ministers meeting their Indonesian counterparts to try and stop the reverberations against Australia in that hotbed of fundie fervour, where the Bombing of Aussies in Bali has already set the scene... Good luck...
Seems the common theme running on the dissension side is the lack of consideration of the dreadful consequences of splitting the world on these religious and ideological lines and the horrors that could be unleashed... I reckon it's that authoritarian way of thinking where they ban drugs, do that law and order policing thing, the religious intolerance to freedom of choice, the discipline word, and the segregation and apartheid and black lists, and dobbing in and greed and corruption, ummm, what else, it's violence? It's all too horrible to think, and they own their media moguls to push it...
But the USA just announced a new 10,000k massive bomb to show off, a MOAB? Mother Of All Bombs, oh HaHaHa, get it? You just might... So can we all have them please? That is the first thing the rest of the world will want, to be armed to the hilt in case the USA Empire wants to impose itself, and the North Korean blind eye? Why isn't this major member of the Axis of Evil in the gun sights?
China is probably the only one to influence Pyongyang, at any rate China is way out in front of all given that crazy Globalism, capturing the manufacturing economic might, and already undercutting the West out of the action, look at Japan, that Chinese One Party System knows where the realities are now, while the USA is off on a Dream of Destiny going nowhere, and without a true mandate from that last election to do any of this, they would hardly have got close if Bush was carrying on like a Pre-Emptive Nuclear Bomber in the last campaign, they kept that commercially in confidence?
Remember those words George Dubbya-Dubbya-III used, the Crusade in the first instance, and they had a new Crusader Gun? The Infinite Justice plans? There were snippets of preaches he made setting out the new foreign policy the Bush Neo-Cons were adopting, and shredding the conventions, when you see them run against one another you see the mindsets behind them, and those ideas are to do with dominating those they see as enemies, from xenophobic conspiracy theory hawks... It has huge ethnic cleansing streaks in it... They only want to have people around like themselves... Trouble is most of the world wouldn't want to be like them anyway... I always remember that gleam he had saying If you're not with us you're with them... Gees Al Gore would have been good to have had instead... Where is America's voice of reason?

So how do we know they have Weapons of
Mass Destruction? (Ron Tanberg) |
Yesterday I did the Mt Stromlo goodbye, but was turned back by security, you had to take a bus from Woden, which I found, and spoke to a bloke waiting, told me the story, a big crowd turned up, I said how it would be best left a shrine like thru history the observatories had defined a culture of wonder, like Stonehenge and that burnt out site and ruin would make a pilgrimage and give a feeling to the wonders of the Universe and so forth, so I made friends with him in an instant, funny how easy it is to meet people there…
And I took a swoop thru suburbs I’d never seen and past the Irish Club for St Patrick’s Day, another Working Man’s Club and then onto the Parliament and protests with the Tent Embassy laid out under the avenue of trees, I stood in the centre of the circle by the eternal fire? There was a humpy facing the grand Parliament mound, no one challenged me, to wander about so close to the seat of power says something of what was supposed to be egalitarianism, but no longer with the war looming and the govt being lapdogs…
I saw a Defence Dept display with a huge helicopter, standing under the tip of a rotor blade, which I could almost reach out, and touch… And there was a carnival atmosphere with a Navy band doing swing numbers, next to the High Court… And on to Dickson and the Tradies, full of trams and bikes and my kind of atmosphere, unfortunately stuffed full of pokies...
The war is to start today, the Subjugation of Iraq, the takeover and overthrow and imposition of a foreign power, or the remarkably lucky intervention of the Superpower to save the little people, whilst the Superpower guidance system of a xtian god flies over the regimes of Myanamar Burma, Tibet, and all the other unchosen ones, oh to be liberated by a foreign crusade of the infidels...
And to be converted to their ways, to get the Holy Market and Squeaky Clean Democracy and the American Way, and don't forget xtianity as well, but wait that's not all, you get MOABs too... Although the street scenes of Baghdad had a very normalised appearance on the eve of destruction, it's all just too weird for words... So what will happen, it's only a few hours, the thing I dread is that some tricky dicky ploy will unleash some bloody awful disaster on us, not just them...
Gees I wish I had Fox PayTV so I could watch it, and pay for it too... In Canberra at the protests on the Lawns I spoke to the stuck on committed left behind in an anti-war vigil on the ramps, and some other organisers wandered up to compare notes, had to shrug in despair when intervention to stop the war brought out names like the Pope, Dalai Lama, Nelson Mandela and I forget, to which I added Rupert Murdock, saying if he wanted to dump on the war it would be all over, which is probably the truth...
Strange how on these history making days, the Nature of the Earth has a mood change like even if it is localised, with dust storms obliterating Iraq, here in Australia we've got it too, the farming devastation is hanging in the brown sky, giving a gloom and the smell of burnt ash and dust, the droughts of Australia are 50-50 with good weather, the deforested continent, the topic of many wide brown land poems, always amazes the optimists when the drought returns as normal, the surprise, the attitude that another natural disaster has befallen us is just plain stupid, this is the inevitable lesson of farming a continent to death... So all the reffos overseas please be aware there's really no future for Australia lest you like salt and dust...
After the most bizarre opening of the war coverage we see George Dubbya-Dubbya-III having his hair done live, while the mystery of who and what was the first hit on Baghdad remains unsaid, all he needs is a bunch of bananas... So the target may have been the Iraqi Leadership copping a bunker buster, so is it a chook with it's head cut off?
I'm sure that would be the tactic to take out the "Target of Opportunity" and do a "Decapitation Strike", so it's more like a turkey shoot, if they miss this time it's just another shotgun of cruise missiles till he's a dead duck... That first attack booming out, I counted about nine, was a whole 3 dozen at $1m a pop, plus a bunker buster, ding goes the cash register, Roast Iraqi Leadership Nuggets on special...
Oh yeah, it's not about oil, ok, but what does or did Saddam buy all his toys with? That's why some rich people can be so threatening, those poor buggers who hijack planes did it on the cheap though... Same intellectual level as the poor bugger who hijacked the WhiteHouse...
Missed? Who knows, a Saddam popped up on TV to say something about trying to kill him, so dead or alive? But which one was it? Didn't look like Saddam to me and the talk wasn't topical and was read with very little personality, is that the real Saddam? So will they just wait for every night to bomb some palace to finally get him?
The media has taken it all on with a slick glint? They have feeds and experts and live crosses and Bush having a coiffeur, or is that too French, whereas Saddam appeared in battle dress and a beret, but that's French too... It's those bluddy French who saved Tony B Lair, once those Frenchies got the blame Tony wasn't so bad... C'est la Vie... Makes all those French lessons they've taught the world, like how Napoleon found out he was an inhuman dickhead, worthwhile? I wonder if someone could translate that, maybe German sounds more like it...
Thing is I spose, the EU, European Union, does have a better reputation on most things compared to the USA at the moment, like the EU have a more sensible leadership, collective at least, and politically the EU just has to become a counterweight to balance the world up, a horrible thought but necessary... And they were more sensible about the changes to the world peace conventions that the USA ripped up...
Confusion in people's minds reigns supreme, the Talkback and opinions and beliefs and that one-eyed monster of the rusted on supporter, have all been exposing themselves on never ending analysis... Talkback is so different when a real issue hits it, the usual bunch of drongos seems to expand exponentially, the display of ignorance and urban myth runs alongside exaggeration and big noters, and then there's the gung ho eliminators of These People, the obliteraters who want to get rid of, and clean out, and wipe up their perceived enemies, whose behaviour more than matches any beastly images from the Regime itself...
It all seems so personal, the targets have been chosen to hit the Regime's top people, their homes, families, palaces and such... It's surgical and pin pointed and relies on a Decapitation Principle? The execution of leadership, because rather than the grassroots opposition by the Vietnamese fighting guerrilla resistance and winning their own country back, this Iraqi conflict has hierarchical chains of command and the fear of acting independently is just a No-No, so without orders they will fold... Let's hope so, then we can get on with dominating the rest of the world, and put in a similar system with Neo-Conservatives on top... Just do what you're told and don't ask questions and give up getting your name off the Blacklist...
The war has a revealed Baghdad as a Heaven for traffic, you see about 1 car a minute, but the Traffic lights keep changing and the electricity lights up the city, no use having blackout, and the Bush Regimes tactics is to be kind to the collaterals...
Seems as if this push into the enemy territory smacks of history lessons when excursions away from home usually meant a sad retreat, ask anyone who's tried it, Napoleon, Hitler and now Bush? How many foreign armies hang around for too long? All of them... I wonder if the cave in turns out to be a sham and the war will go on from bunkers and hideouts and sniper fire, guerrillas usually win in the long run cause they believe in themselves at least... The thinking in the Arab world does not necessarily follow what Rumsfeld and that Wolfowitz thinks... Thinks? Do they, or is it some sort of fundamentalism of might...
Clean, surgical, the war without horrors, is it? Is this going to mean we don't have to worry anymore when the USA Empire decides to take over a regime, we can just stop worrying about the incidental accidental collateral damage, from big boy's toys, just bad luck to be hurt... So there will be the mighty technological weaponry put against any one with an army, particularly those armies that cave in after signing up with the Force, as against having boosted a guerrilla world wide war where these weapons are useless, so the future says, keep your heads down if you’re in the West, and build very very deep bunkers if you're a dictator...
About bunkers, wouldn't you think Saddam has drilled one under the safest place in Baghdad, like under the Hotels? Where the media hides out in relative safety would be the spot, under them, wonder if they ever do seismic detection or something to find out the extent of the bunker systems, or is it more like under the river? They must be somewhere...
Was on the train to the city and the rocking and swaying opened the doors between the carriages and the girls and boys there all looked at me and one another silently as the doors mysteriously closed again, That was Saddam Hussein going through? The invisible man, and was Osama there too?
I dunno if I'm more shocked and awed or relaxed and comfortable or is there a difference? Or does the rest of the world have an attitude problem? Today the war is going bad, the Freedom Fries eating Crusaders of the New World Order have been attacked from the rear, there are prisoners being held under Geneva Conventions just like in Cuba, where I don't know how many times I've seen that Arab guy in a sheet being shuffled along, tied up, very relaxed and comfortable looking chap... But you can see there's a completely different set of values in the one place, down here on earth not as it is in their heaven, or is it? I still wanna know who mows the lawns in heaven and where does the fuel and razor wire come from...
A snippet of news says a huge chemical factory has been found, does that mean that Saddam has gone for the most economically rational restructuring defence plan to make the most efficient outcome of so little input, it's economics, with war on the technological cheap, and there's no sign of a god intervening, that's one thing you can depend on...
Gees, those pictures on TV of the prisoners was a confronting emotional hype up of the personal nature of war, these people had the look on their face of fear, not the terrorist sort of fear, the prisoner of war terror, wonder how that will affect the flow of words... The American prisoners will be the topic on Fox I bet, or will it? Like the rednecking version of it will I spose... But drawing a reflection on the wisdom of war wont get a run I expect...
All news seems like bad news on the War, saying the war was experimental, and Rumsfeld et al had intended to have the Iraqi Regime collapse and the Iraqi Army to surrender and the psychology of awe and shock to win it and the invasion to be welcomed with cheering in the streets, and the USA Empire seen as a hero?
The experiment meant ground forces with massive weapons to subdue the resistance, however the resistance went underground and hid in the general populace and small groups would strike and run, the crusaders had surrendering treachery to deal with, they had Prisoners taken and they have stretched their supply lines making it all more vulnerable... So the tactical experiment is based on a psychological conversion, an inquisition by the gun, it's like having those religious people knock on your door, under a terrible misapprehension that they can turn you into one of them...
Fighting street to street wont be avoidable unless a nuclear weapon destroys the streets and everything on them, I wonder if they will let it come to that? Again? Are nuclear weapons the second phase they reckon they have, or the final solution?
And now the World War III scenario where Turkey is having their say, the Kurds have their say, the EU with Nato remnants is having their say, and the Diplomacy has lost all it's politeness and civility, and fingers of accusation are being pointed, and the Rest of The World is getting nervous, while protests are beefing up, the polls show a redneck surge in support for blood... Nice day though, here is paradise...
And by the way George Dubbya-Dubbya-III has cantered off to Congress with $150 billion ask for his piggy bank, so they can blame the Democrats in the next election for raising taxes I spose, he's a little bugger for having ulterior motives I reckon, but then again he seems to have had some animal trainer brain washing, maybe from the Architect Wolfowitz but he's a triumph for the Neo-Conservatives, the one and only...
At least the BBC has been running stories to undermine the Hawks and ask some difficult questions, and the embedded media is another experimental idea that may well backfire, it was supposed to be a victory parade after all and it's all going wrong, and we're all seeing it happen, like the only good day was the first two hours when the Decapitation was undertaken, but missed the point it seems... The cross hairs of the camera is more powerful than the shock and awe...
