It's The Eve Of The American Election
it's the Eve of the American Election, it's been huge in the news, a wide range coverage I spose, the horrible scare of how Right Wing Religious Americans need to be outnumbered at the polls, so the Democrats have to get out the vote, the scary idea of four more years of that Bush style bullying and bar room brawling isn't going down well with the rest of the world, there's been a big anti-Bush set of Overseas Newspaper Editorials saying how the Bush Administration has damaged so much in the world, for the sake of simpleton ideologies and amateurish leadership even though the Republican Capitalists poured in their ill-gotten gains...
I Hope The Bush Republicans Get Well And Truly Walloped In These Elections And The Democrats Win By A Huge Landslide
So the Democrats are fighting the Dirty Dollar Driven Bush TV Scare Campaigns by getting out the decent people to register and vote, the great democracy for all their patriotism, hasn't bothered to vote much, until this time, faced with that Bush evil in the WhiteHouse, at least it shows how people really do loathe Bush and what he stands for, that awful America, whereas the Democrats have that bigger heart and thoughtfulness and diplomacy and persuasion, whereas Bush has bullying bragging and blowing things up, plus that bluddy bogus godliness they use to pick on people and divide and exclude and Demonise others, so I hope the Bush Republicans get well and truly walloped in these elections and the Democrats win by a huge landslide... But looks more like the wages of spin have the scales tipped to the Right Wing Religious Conservatives, and bad medicine...

Never cease to be amazed at how divided the political world is, and the two sides of politics is so strange a divide, there's all these people split on some attitudinal thing, half over there want it one way, see it one way, and the other side sees just the opposite and hates the opposing opinion, so they have these debacles where one little king gets to romp around with just half of the vote... So the President of Half America gets to rule the whole world, and yet most people round the world probably can't stand the little bugger, what a great system that is, Yay heil democracy distorted as hell... And that's what they're trying to sell to Iraq, spin that out...

Pencil and paper and scrutineers, although touch screens are coming, you get your name ticked off and get a swipe card, swipe and vote and put the swipe card in collection box... That's some sort of paper trail while staying secret...

To the citizens of the world:
America is not united.
We, one half of the American people, are shocked and angered by the re-election of George W. Bush as our president. We are immensely disappointed. Yet our resolve remains steadfast.
This is a new day. Our half of America - we who oppose Bush -- has woken up. We now know that we have more in common with many other citizens of the globe than with the other half of our country who cast votes for Bush. We realize now that we are unified with others across the planet in a worldwide battle for thoughtfulness, critical thinking, human rights, and protection of our common planetary resources. We are clear now that the other half of our nation supports an American brand of fundamentalism, which preaches a gospel of fear and hate founded on ignorance. This gospel disregards the humanity of innocent citizens of other nations; it marginalizes the poor and preaches intolerance for the "different" within our own nation.
America is not united.
This is a new day for our half of America. We have realized that the other half of our country is not guided by reason. The other half knew Bush lied to us about Iraq. They knew that Bush has burdened our economy with insurmountable debt. They knew that Bush's party intimidated voters. They knew that Bush is destroying our environment. They knew that Bush might lead us into other unprovoked and endless wars. Still they voted for Bush. Exiting the polls, they explained that Bush stood for "moral values," that he is "a man of God."
But half of America voted against him.
World citizens: know that America is not united.
Our nation was founded upon principles of reason, not fundamentalist ideology. We have reached a turning point. We are alienated from many of our fellow Americans. We are citizens of the world. Understand that we have put our souls into the defeat of Bush - and remember us as we continue to strive to create a better America. Our half of America will not rest until reason and humanity prevail.
